Finance Department

The Department of Finance is responsible for

  • establishing and maintaining sound fiscal policies for the City
  • accounting for the City’s financial resources
  • monthly and annual financial reporting
  • payroll and benefits administration for City employees
  • disbursing funds for City purchases
  • billing and collection of water, sewer, and garbage accounts
  • billing and collection of real estate and property taxes
  • collection of miscellaneous local taxes and fees such as meals tax, lodging tax, parking tickets, etc.
  • sale of vehicle decals, dog/cat licenses, and yard sale permits
  • delinquent tax collection
  • budget administration
