The City of Galax, Virginia invites qualified independent certified public accountants to submit proposals to provide audit services for the City for a period of three years. Firms will be expected to provide auditing services, including preparation of the annual financial report for the periods ending June 30, 2020, June 30, 2021, and June 30, 2022; as well as annual comparative cost transmittal reports to the Virginia Auditor of Public Accounts for the same periods. Proposals will be evaluated in terms of experience, qualifications of the engagement team, and the ability to meet specific schedules. Competitive negotiations will be held with the highest ranked firm and a contract will be executed upon successful negotiations.
